Old Time Radio

Reminiscing about listening to The Shadow and other old time radio shows the other day reminded me of how much I enjoyed them. I've put a link over on the side to the Old Time Radio Show Catalog site and plan to do a considerable amount of poking around on it. I've really only listened to a few of the classics, and I'm sure there are plenty of other OTR shows that I'd enjoy. Check it out (although I'm sure some of you are familiar with it already.)

Lots of shows available for free download on the Internet, too. Just google for The Shadow radio shows.

I just discovered this site a couple days ago:

http://www.archive.org/details/oldtimeradio

It's by far the best repository of free OTR downloads I've yet found on the Internet. I'd been looking for episodes of "The Six Shooter," an obscure Western starring Jimmy Stewart, with no luck. Then I stumbled on this site and before long I had the ENTIRE SERIES! The audio quality varies, but on the whole this site rocks.

James,

http://www.vintageradioplace.com/broadcast/ is a nice site with weekly programs hosted by OTR aficionados.
